Editorial Focus

Recent political displacement has intensified the Hong Kong diaspora, sharpening questions of memory, embodiment, justice, and communal life. This issue welcomes academically grounded and/or practice-based contributions that explore how gender-conscious theologies are articulated “on the move” across diverse locations. Suggested themes include, but are not limited to:

  1. Ethics of Memory: Theological reflections on lament, trauma, and hope, and the ethics of remembering.
  2. Hermeneutics of Power: Feminist biblical interpretations shaped by displacement and systems of power.
  3. Liturgical Innovation: Diaspora worship, multilingual practices, and ritual creativity.
  4. Solidarity & Care: Community formation, leadership, and the theology of care work in motion.

Submission Categories

  1. Main Articles (primary focus): Theological/sociological analyses and faith reflections engaging the theme; 3,000–4,000 words (excluding references/footnotes).
  2. Supplemental (other genres): Liturgies, prayers, poems, and personal stories (length varied by genre; include a brief note on relevance).
  3. Creative Expressions: Limited slots for graphics, sketches, or painting, with caption/artist note; permissions/credits required. (Note: Visual art will not be uploaded to the online edition.)
